Maybe you have a clue on how manuka honey works, but not entirely clueless on how it clears that acne you are suffering. The usage of this type of honey has shown much success in acne treatment.
[br> For so many centuries, honey has been totally known because of its healing effects. Now, with the updated technology, information is now available on why this is proven to be true. When bees digest the pollens of manuka flowers, they will produce a natural form of hydrogen peroxide which we all know a wonderful antiseptic that cleans the infection from wounds.
[br> If the doctor advises you to use active manuka honey for a skin condition, it is usually because it has a higher percentage of this antiseptic hydrogen peroxide than any regular honey does. It is this higher content of hydrogen peroxide which makes this kind of honey a preferred treatment in clearing acne. Unlike other prescription treatments used for acne, this special type of honey is all natural and will not dry your skin out.
