CT Scans

It was not that long ago that there was an article in the early evening news about CT scans possible causing the onset of cancers.

Does anyone remember this? I'm scheduled for a CT scan of the abdomen-pelvis and am very much concerned as to how much radiation this CT scan will put on me. I had an isotope study done about a month ago and am afraid as to how much radiatioin my body will have been put through.

thanks,

I do remember seeing it. I'm not sure how many CT scans you have to have before you have the potential of getting cancer from it. I have had at least 10 CT scans of the abdomen and pelvis n the past 5 years. So far I don't think it's harmed me. I wouldn't be concerned if you have only had one.
