    Exciting News for WebMD Members!

We've been busy behind the scenes building new message boards for you. You'll have new and easier ways to find messages, connect with others, and share your stories.

And, this will all be available on your smartphone or other mobile device!

What Do You Need to Do?

The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? Save posts you want to continue (this includes your member profile story), so that you can re-post them in the new message boards.

Keep an eye here and on your email inbox, we'll be back in touch soon to give you all the information you need!

Have you spoke w/ your primay doctor for a referral? My insurance requires that we go thru the primary.

Do you have insurance? Contact their behavioral health office.

If you don't your choices are lkely more limited but you can contact your county mental health department. Some private counselors will accept sliding scale payments for therapy.

Question: "I need help finding a Dr in my area for Dx" Reply: The majority of Rx's for adhd/add are written by either regular MD's NOT always psychatrists. Also, NP's and PA-C's in most states are allowed to write for CII's like ADDERALL among others. Although psychatrists are neurologists, few of these experts are always available.Regular MD's are capable of diagnosis and treatment. Use your best judgement, if affordable, neurologists are the best qualified. Not EVERYONE can find experts everywhere.
