adhd help finding a Dr

I've been diagnosed with ADHD. I need help finding a doctor in my area. The clinic I went to won't subscribe meds. I want meds with therapy for emotional/behavioral needs.

Have you spoke w/ your primay doctor for a referral? My insurance requires that we go thru the primary.

Do you have insurance? Contact their behavioral health office.

If you don't your choices are lkely more limited but you can contact your county mental health department. Some private counselors will accept sliding scale payments for therapy.

Question: "I need help finding a Dr in my area for Dx" Reply: The majority of Rx's for adhd/add are written by either regular MD's NOT always psychatrists. Also, NP's and PA-C's in most states are allowed to write for CII's like ADDERALL among others. Although psychatrists are neurologists, few of these experts are always available.Regular MD's are capable of diagnosis and treatment. Use your best judgement, if affordable, neurologists are the best qualified. Not EVERYONE can find experts everywhere.
