Hello everyone. My name is Renee and I believe I have ADHD. I'm in the process of seeing a psychiatrist and we are working on my diagnoses. So far it's been OCD, GAD, and some depression, and substance abuse. My entire family speaks strangely- we all change topics in conversations quickly, no one can keep up with us We also change the 1st letters of two words around. (like 'poin curse') None of us can keep our thoughts straight, and I was labelled as "slow" in 1st grade. I have an above average IQ and excell in math, science, and english. I can read anything on the computer, but can't read a darn thing from a book. I have to time my studying or reading to 15 minute installments so that I can retain what I've read. I do much better if someone just shows me how to do something. In nursing there is always more education to learn. I'm 49 and just now being introduced to the diagnoses that have explained alot about my life.

I'm hoping I'm in the right place.

Thanks, Renee
