Help ! I've been dating someone with this disorder on and off for 2 years now. As always, alot of information involved as to when, why, what and where. The simple truth is that no matter what the truth really is in reality. It means nothing. The only truth that matters is what this person believes to be the truth in their head. I can't understand why they can't accept my feelings for what they are instead of what they believe them to be. Can anyone relate to this ?

I can absolutely relate to this! It's really tough! I highly recommend the books by Dr Daniel Amen. He writes in a very simple language that allows you to identify the symptoms and offer treatments. ADD adults tend to have difficulty in engaging for emotional response because the "switch" to focus can actually result in something that's like a shortage so-to-speak. Good luck!
