    Exciting News for WebMD Members!

We've been busy behind the scenes building new message boards for you. You'll have new and easier ways to find messages, connect with others, and share your stories.

And, this will all be available on your smartphone or other mobile device!

What Do You Need to Do?

The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? Save posts you want to continue (this includes your member profile story), so that you can re-post them in the new message boards.

Keep an eye here and on your email inbox, we'll be back in touch soon to give you all the information you need!

Is your son seeing a Child / Adolescent Psychiatrist?

If not, then that would be your first step. Finding a good Dr. is important for long term health.

    Take care,

Hi mrmacmuddy and welcome to the community,

I think that Kathleen's suggestion to see a Child/Adolescent Psychiatrist is an excellent one. I don't know how old your son is, but you might find this information on parenting a child with ADHD and this overview of ADHD in children helpful. If you are looking for more information, our ADD and ADHD Center is filled with slideshows, articles and other resources to help you understand and manage ADHD symptoms.

We also have this article (and many more in the center mentioned above) about adult ADHD and different management strategies you might be interested in trying. I hope you are able to find some information that works for your family!

    Best wishes,
    Atti
