    Exciting News for WebMD Members!

We've been busy behind the scenes building new message boards for you. You'll have new and easier ways to find messages, connect with others, and share your stories.

And, this will all be available on your smartphone or other mobile device!

What Do You Need to Do?

The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? Save posts you want to continue (this includes your member profile story), so that you can re-post them in the new message boards.

Keep an eye here and on your email inbox, we'll be back in touch soon to give you all the information you need!

Hi My name is Mary and I'm a stay at home mom of three kids! My hubby and I are currently going thru the process of foster to adopt program thru the state of PA! We are very excited & nervous! I would like to hear some stories from others' experiences-good and bad! We want to be totally prepared for any situation since we are trying for a child around the age of 5-7 and would likely suffered from abuse/neglect! Any other info on support group web sites would be appreciated! thanks, Mary

I am active also on fertilityfriend.com -its a pay site so no trolls, but the girls on the adoption board are very close knit and are supportive of each other, about half are foster/adopt and the other half are private infant adopt or embroy adoption. (about 15-20 active users on that board alone)

I also recomend reading the book "Toddler Adoption, the Weaver's Craft" I know you're hopeing for older than toddler, but a lot of the toddler advice will still serve in your case. Especialy if the child was neglected and is developmently behind.

we're hoping for age 0-3 ourselves, but we dont have any children of our own.
