If Afrin I have a deviated septum or just allergies?
    jarablue posted:
Hi. It' always seems that one of my nostrils is stuffed. When I use afrin it completely clears my sinuses and I can breathe great. But I hate being stuffed after using it for 2 days.

Since afrin is working does that mean my clogged nose could be allergies? I am thinking of going to Mass Eye and Ear hospital to get checked out. Like I said it always seems that one of my nostrils is always clogged and it shifts. Sometimes it will be the left other times it will be the right.

    What do you guys think?

So sorry no one has replied to your original post. I try to check in at least once a week, but some how this slipped by me.

Your situation sounds like some form of sinusitis either from allergies or any of the other forms. You should start with your general practitioner to see what they can do to help before moving on to a specialist. You will most likely be started on the basics like a steroid nasal spray. Nasal steroids have a much lower dosage than oral steroids and are administered right where they are needed and used so very little of them enter your system. You may also be put on antihistamines or antibiotics if you need them.

    I hope that helps.

    Take care and God bless.
