    Hot tubs and Asthma

My son has allergy induced asthma that is well controlled. We were considering getting a hot tub but didn't want to if this was going to effect his asthma at all? Any suggestions?

    Hi An,

You should be very proud of yourself for considering your son and family's health before purchasing this hot tub. I highly recommend you speaking with his doctor/allergist about his/her thoughts on this addition to your home.

Here is an interesting short video on Hot Tub Disease and another article on Hot Tubs and Lung Problems . While things may have changed with manufacturing, I would still check them out and speak with your medical professional. Why take a chance with more lung problems for the whole family?

Please keep us posted and take care!
