Allergy to sutures

The main symptom is the surgery wound won't heal because it is constantly leaking fluid that stems from the suture location (deep in internal tissue). The doctors are treating it like an infection (even though no traces of infection show up in the tests) with heavy antibiotics. But we're beginning to feel it may easily be related to an allergic reaction instead. Are there any forum members that have experienced something like this?
