Allergic to Brown Sugar?

So, over the past two weeks I've been getting these red spots on my stomach and chest. They aren't itch but appear to be slightly dry and raised above the skin. I've been trying to put moisturizers on them somewhat unsuccessfully. I haven't changed soaps or cloths or anything like that, but I have started eating a new cereal that contains brown sugar. I really enjoy the cereal, but I have noticed it makes my stomach feel a little uneasy and it correlates to the appearance of the red spots pretty closely. I normally don't eat brown sugar. Could that be causing the red spots or is it likely to be caused by something else?

You might want to try a few days without the cereal and see if that helps. Now is the time of year for everything to bloom, it's possible something growing can be causing your reaction as well.

I think it's time to visit the doctor and have your spots checked out - it could indicate another issue that needs to be addressed.

Let us know what you find out!
