Constant Post Nasal Drip

I've always had seasonal allergies..this year they got really bad. My doctor has had me on every kind of allergy medication one can think of as well as nasal sprays of various kinds. This post nasal is so bad it keeps me awake at night. I was forced to quit my last job because being in a warehouse environment only aggrivated them more. I have an appointment with an allergy specialist in October and I have been battling this since January with no help from anything. I have no clue what I am allergic to but something is out there that's worse this season than in the past.

We had a brutal rain storm here last night and after the storm, I noticed that my post nasal was not as bad, it almost cleared right up. But, our summer has been so hot and humid and muggy, it doesn't seem anything is working, not even sterioidal nasal sprays or saline rinses.

I was told by a few people that I should purchase a full cleanse kit and that allergies can be aggrivated by build up of toxins in the liver(but I've also heard from some people this is not true, so I'm not sure).

I purchased a product localled called Pollinasin about a week ago from a local health store. It's supposed to target whatever is causing the build up of all the mucous. I've been on it for a week(6 tablets a day!), and I'm not noticing anything.

Can anyone tell me if a cleanse of the liver and other organs would be a good idea or not?

I live in Manitoba, Canada(directly north of ND, USA, I live about 2 hours north of Grand Forks, ND). So I know that living on the prairies, we have a lot of pollen and such.

I'm at a loss of what to do until I can see the specialist in October...I'm hounding the office to get in earlier because of how bad it is.

I'd like some suggestions of successes people have had with non-typical allergy medications and what you did to relieve your allergies. I'm open to any suggestions!

Things I have tried with no success:

-allergy meds
-nasal sprays and rinses
-I keep my windows shut in the house and car
-herbal treatments

Any thoughts would be helpful. Thanks!
