    Exciting News for WebMD Members!

We've been busy behind the scenes building new message boards for you. You'll have new and easier ways to find messages, connect with others, and share your stories.

And, this will all be available on your smartphone or other mobile device!

What Do You Need to Do?

The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? Save posts you want to continue (this includes your member profile story), so that you can re-post them in the new message boards.

Keep an eye here and on your email inbox, we'll be back in touch soon to give you all the information you need!

My son lost his voice about 4 weeks ago, and has been unable to regain vocal capability. It tough being his age in school and all, but he does not complain. He helps himself to warm tea and honey, and i give him tylonal and throat losages when he asks. However this treatment has done little to no good. He has had bad allergy problems most of his life. Recently we moved from Corpus Christi (36ft ASL) to Colorado Springs (6600ft ASL) and the allergies seem to die down. He has a stopped up nose most of the time and instead of letting me know he simply adapted to breathing through his mouth. I stay up late and watch over my kids, and constantly I awake in early hours to check his pulse and make sure he his breathing. Of course he is but its hard to see him suffer. I am making myself sick worrying about him. Please help!

I don't know why you haven't taken him to a doctor yet after 4 weeks of this. Please schedule an appointment with his pediatrician and/or allergist promptly. This is not something for a WebMD board to solve.

Take care and good luck. Judy
