I have a baby name rule:

Never give a baby a name that you can't find on a souvenir cup while on vacation.

    LOL

My kids all have traditional names, although I have heard many, many "untraditional" names that I love.

If you give a kid a name nobody can pronounce (or spell) you'll deal with it for a long long time. LOL

Ultimately, it's between you and DH. But I'm on YOUR side with this, for sure.

DB likes Vash and Slade. Um no thanks.
DS's name- Logan was pretty easy to pick out. He said- I like Logan because of the X-Men (Wolverine) I said okay and that was that. I can't say at the time that I LOVED the name, it just seeemed like that is what DS's name should be.

Well Logan is a very popular name here in MA. and I gotta admit, I don't hate Slade, except for the fact it reminds me of that slimball from the real housewives of Orange county.

I told DH we are not telling anyone until after the baby is born, I mean seriously, what if we look down and we are like, OMG he looks like a _____ KWIM?

Next baby I am not sharing the name until after the birth. Only because when I did share names that I liked everyone had an opinion. I hated sharing names only to be told, "I dont like it". LOL.

I remember when my SIL was pg with her DD, my mamaw (not related to SIL) asked me what SIL was naming her and I told her "Riley" and Mamaw said, "That's a boy's name!!" My papaw had a brother named Riley. I told Mamaw that it could be a boy OR a girl's name but Mamaw just wasn't having it. LOL

When my co-workers asked me what I was naming DD1, I told them "Abbie" and one of my co-workers said, "OH MY GOD. That sounds like a cow's name!"

    Daaaaaaaang. lol
