Starting a private exchange is something I am looking into, it is an option when you first create the exchange, but after that? I have to find out, from what I understand you have to be invited to join, but i am not sure.

You mean you don't have to do anything to set up an exchange or manage it? That sounds too simple. My personal page on FB takes more effort than that. Is a private exchange that much different than a private FB page? I put my page private because there was too much BS from peeps. Some peeps just don't know how to behave. KWIM!

I Toatlly know what you mean, no it took me like 5 minutes to set up both my exhanges, what took the longest was picking out the image at the top of the page!

I totally believe that it would, I think people see the name of the request and may or may not be able to view content, but cannot post unless they request to join and are accepted, but even then if you accept someone, who says they arent there to cause problems, can you delete them? not too sure I want to play god here

Oh and I don't have FB, I had myspace tho DH is the one who built it, I am not computer savy and this was EASY to set up

Hmmm, I wondering if on a private exchange you could set and enforce a supplemental set of terms of use. No posting anon for example. Warnings given to posters who attack or otherwise violate the "by-laws" and if they continue, blocked from posting on the exchange.
What I like about this idea is why should members have to "ignore" those out to cause trouble waiting for a mod to remove their posts? Simpler just to block said individuals from posting in the first place. You get a chance to contribute, you only want to contribute crap for your own amusement, you're out. Simple as that. Yeah, I could play god in that way.

OMG! there is so much drama over there and I can't believe the backlash that you got for inviting people to talk over here. WTH. I am not here to judge anyone and I "hate" people that do. Sure we all have our opinions and we come from different backgrounds, etc. but that is just it, its an opinion and people shouldn't attack someone for their opinion. Just saying.
