    Exciting News for WebMD Members!

We've been busy behind the scenes building new message boards for you. You'll have new and easier ways to find messages, connect with others, and share your stories.

And, this will all be available on your smartphone or other mobile device!

What Do You Need to Do?

The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? Save posts you want to continue (this includes your member profile story), so that you can re-post them in the new message boards.

Keep an eye here and on your email inbox, we'll be back in touch soon to give you all the information you need!

    Yours in health,

Thank you all for your responses!! I'm going to find an AlZheimers support group, because just reading your responses helps! I can imagine actually having live conversations with people who truly empathize being of great help. My siblings and I do have medical and financial power of attorney, but I did not even think about carrying a copy of DNR around with us, so will get on that. I'm still stuck on how to get Dad some help, and he does SAY that he knows this is hard on him, but boy! The determination that man has. But he's also insulin dependent and extremely proud. He says he's got a person in line to help him at home, so I'm giving him a week to prove it to me, then I'll just have to take care of it. Mom is now 5 years into the Disease, and it's remarkable she's as well off as she is, but this can't last much longer(?) thank you ALL for ur advice, and I will email that specialist on the sighing, which may be pain. Thank you so much!!
