My Dad has Alzheimers and Dementia. He is in about his 4th year and is 89 years old.
In the last few days, he can hardly wake up. Just long enough to go to the bathroom and eat a little.
What is going on ? Does anyone have experience with this ?

Hello.

This is something I think you should talk to your dad's doctor about. He may be on medication that causes these symptoms. Something else may be going on. Your dad's doctor may need to examine him and run some tests to see if there is a reason for this other then Alzheimer's.

I pray you can find answers soon.

Hi Debbikay58-

In addition to Dave's good advice, I wanted to say that it could be something very serious, and I would take him to the ER.

Please let us know what you find out, and how he's doing.

Best wishes-
Carol
