AF late but - preg test

I ovulated around Feb 17. My LP is usually 12 days long, so I was expecting my cycle around Mar 2,3.Around the time my cycle was due, my CM increased. Earlier this week I started feeling mild cramps and then Mar 10 Wednesday backache started. My lower back pain has not gone away yet. I am waiting for AF to start any second, but its not here yet. I tested last night using Target brand +/- preg. test. I waited for 3 minutes. Nothing... I went to sleep. When I woke up in the middle of the night, I saw a faint vertical line that made it look like a + sign.
I am not a dreamer. If I was pregnant the kit should have showed the + right away, plus it wouldn't be so light if I am already more than a week late. I know I ovulated otherwise I wouldn't be feeling AF liek cramps and back pain around AF time.
I am baffled though... what's going on? Anyone has any thoughts, opinions, experience?

Wait 2-5 days and if still no period then re-test with 1st morning urine. Do not look at any test after 10 min, any results you see then are false. But you should re-test just in case.

    Best of Luck.

I would recommend a digital test. You don't have to try to figure out any lines.
