Post fisulotomy concerns

I finally broke down and got an anal fistulotomy. I am feeling much better, but am still concerned about possible relapse. One thing that was noted twice by different doctors was that my anus was opening very small, most likely as a result of my reluctance to pass my bowels. I see that now in the size of my stools that they are not as large as they used to be, and it does feel like there is restriction in passing them. I am very concerned about creating another problem. Is there some way I can increase the size of the opening? Excercises, diet, or anyhting else?
