Welcome to the board. I'm sure that people will be posting in response to your post and you will see that others are very understanding and wish to be helpful.

I am not an MD, but I'm wondering what your physicians are saying about how your sinus tachycardia might be affecting your level of anxiety. It would seem to me that having something like this is quite upsetting and would lead to higher levels of anxiety. This, in turn, would cause the problems which you appear to be experiencing and that is quite understandable.

You've not indicated that anyone has provided anything in the way of either a therapeutic intervention in terms of cognitive therapy or suggestions about anything else. How about trying some self-help techniques?

Take a look at our Tips column, view the relaxation breathing video tutorial we have there and begin doing this exercise on a daily basis, several times a day. The thing that you want to do is not only to help yourself calm down, but to keep your anxiety level where it is manageable. I think that right now it is at a point where you are feeling it is disrupting your life in many ways and you need some help. This technique can be very effective and I would suggest that you begin to do it along with some self-talk where you reassure yourself that you will be okay.

You've had all the tests that would seem to be required to rule out a physical problem, but I can understand that you have a continuing concern regarding your health. You will get this under control. Another thing that you will want to consider is either some cognitive therapy with a psychologist, lifestyle changes and some mild exercise on a regular basis. We also have exercises that are simple to do in our Tips column. Watch the videos and do the exercises perhaps 2 to 3 times a week if your physicians indicate this is okay.

I hope that some of this information is helpful to you and that you feel much better very soon.

Thanks Farrell for your reply. I really appreciate your time and effort. I like this forum coz of the fact ,many share their stories and experience and helps me to relate to the situation and take comfort from the fact that im not only sufferer at young age as its popularly believed to be old age problem.
Well coming to my diagnosis, I was referred for Electro physiologist and to psychiatric department. I went for the EP consultation and he after analysis the ECG and Echo reports ,advised me that its a simple case of sinus tachycardia .Doc prescribed me CONCOR 5 mg i.e half tablet every morning and Rivotril 0.5 1 in the night for the next 30 days . Im in the course of the medication ..He had also asked me to stop taking Caffeine drinks nd from that date ,i stopped everything literally . Im a non smoker, vegetarian and non drinker. my lifestyle is dormant ,my only exercise is walking up the room to pick the remote:P
while on the course of medication ,for the last four days feeling pain on the left arm/hand.. its kind of medium to severe... feeling bit uneasiness.. having just taken a ECG and Echo on 1st may, do you see any complications that might have grown from that day... I know its my irrational fear urging me to go for another ECG and Echo but keep resisting that tempt.. As i know it might be anxiety related... Do you advise to go for another routine preliminary checkup like ECG,and Echo to rule the cardiac arrest ?I have one more query how long does it take to develop a complication in the heart ..time frame from your last visit ..can it happen all of sudden or will it be gradual... I know this is pretty long post .. well I tried to summarize it to short.. your response will be highly appreciated and i certainly taking a liking to this community .Others please pour in our thoughts and experience...

I am not an M.D., and I would suggest that if you have questions about your heart that you might want to call your PCP or the facility that performed the tests.

It may be, as you have already suggested, that your anxiety is causing you to be so concerned that you are now having some symptoms. But, just to make yourself feel better, why not put a call into your PCP?
