I have had anxiety issues for about 10 plus years now, everything the dr. prescribes I have reations to, I am very medication sensitive and unsually take a meds in children doses at 39 years old. I started the chantex 6 weeks ago and have not smoked in a month. Since I have been on the Chantex I have not had one panic or anxiety attack, ( IT FELT AMAZING TO FEEL NORMAL!) 4 days ago I stopped taking the chanex and it has been like on long axiety attack since, worse than they were, Is there somthing in chantex that could be prescibed on a long term basis. Or could the issue be from another medical reason diguised as axiety, but could be somthing else?

This medication comes with quite a bit of safety information and you can read this on their website: http://www.chantix.com/ where you will see psychiatric symptoms associated with it.

I'm not an MD but I do not believe it should be taken longer than needed if it has helped you to stop smoking. Since it does cause psychiatric side effects, I would think that you are now going through a period of withdrawal and you should discuss this with whoever prescribed it for you.
