As far as I can understand, I don't think there is a cure for facial hyperhyrosis. Even the medical doctors' prognoisis seem to be it's very difficult to to treat facial sweating. This disease seem to be mostly due to abnormal level of anxiety, lack of confidence and combination of various internal/mental factors. This disease is embarrasing, but can destroy your personal and professional life.

Are there any mental techniques that might help when the sweating begins in social situations? I fear breaking out in sweats at grocesry check outline or even at airport security check in line, and I broke out in sweats, but none of the TSA agents seem to have thought that I was trying to hide some explosives as they just let me pass as long as those metal detectors or pat downs found anything on me..... This is not a good diesease as it can be debiliterating and can misunderstanding from other people.....

There are ebooks on the Web claimining to stop your sweats in 14 day to a month. Do the techniques in ebooks any different what you can google yourself for free? Yes, I did try therapies, but they don't solve your problems even though it may have some values......

This is not good at all. I hope, at least I am not alone with this disease ...?

There are certainly many people willing to provide you with treatments via either books or the Internet and for which you must pay a fee. However, there is no guarantee that any of these would be 100% effective or even effective at all for you. I'm not trying to be a wet blanket, but I do believe that the saying caveat emptor (let the buyer beware) applies in these situations just as it would in any others.

Excessive sweating on any part of your body as a result of becoming anxious is something which may be best treated by biofeedback training. I say this because this type of technique deals specifically with you learning how to control your physical reactions and sweating is a physical reaction. Normally, I might recommend cognitive therapy, but you indicated that you tried therapies and they didn't solve the problem for you. For that reason I think you need to find a certified biofeedback psychologist and have a consultation. Usually, these sessions are few in number and can result in the outcome that you are seeking.

You can find certified biofeedback psychologists in your area by looking at the referral list at the certifying authorities website which is: http://bit.ly/5ijSE0

I hope this does provide you with the assistance that you need.
