I can understand that having had depression and anxiety since you were a preteen and brain cancer which has resulted in some memory impairment and seizure disorder, would leave you feeling pretty bummed. No, that's not a technical term but I think it's appropriate here.
I've known individuals with serious seizure disorders and I have spoken at length with them, so I know what this disorder does to your self-esteem and aspects of your daily life. I do know one young man who has a disorder that has totally disrupted his career aspirations, but he has managed to go on with the help of an extraordinary physician who specializes in epilepsy.
Having this type of a medical disorder as well as prior anxiety and depression indicates to me that you would not only need medications, but you should have been referred for some cognitive therapy with a psychologist who specializes in medical illness. There are issues that you do deserve help with and I don't believe you should be expected to do all of this on your own. Please see if you can get an appropriate referral.
Remember one thing; you are not responsible for your seizures, they are a medical illness just like diabetes would be. If you have a seizure people should be understanding and helpful and also sensitive to your feelings about your seizures. Often, unfortunately, people keep their seizure disorder secret because they feel it is something to be ashamed of. It isn't. They should know and they should be ready to help when you need help. When they do, accept it as you would in any situation where you need help.
As I said, please get a referral to a psychologist who works with people who have medical problems.
