    Exciting News for WebMD Members!

We've been busy behind the scenes building new message boards for you. You'll have new and easier ways to find messages, connect with others, and share your stories.

And, this will all be available on your smartphone or other mobile device!

What Do You Need to Do?

The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? Save posts you want to continue (this includes your member profile story), so that you can re-post them in the new message boards.

Keep an eye here and on your email inbox, we'll be back in touch soon to give you all the information you need!

    Yours in health,

I was in the store looking for skim milk. I went through every carton and found that most would expire in a couple of days so I decided not to buy any. I looked at some of the snacks and finally bought a pack of gum. I asked the 2 cashiers when they would get more skim milk in stock but they looked at me like I stole something from the store. As I was walking back home I started to think what if they did think I stole and called the police? will the police contact me or would I just have a criminal record now? How would I know and how can I prove I didn't steal anything? I know my anxiety is ridiculous but I finally scheduled an appointment with a counselor at the end of the month.

I read your comment last night and I was smiling to myself because it was like i was reading an excerpt from my own mind. We think we're alone in this but it seems all of us with anxiety tend to have the same thinking patterns. Not to minimize your pain, but at least to comfort you in knowing you're not alone. Have you tried cognitive behavioural therapy or any anti anxiety medication?
