Ouch $50 000, that is expensive thankfully it is free for me, and manitoba health will pay for the flights and hotel room, and an escort, as long as my doctor writes a letter stating that I need this procedure and that it is unavailable in manitoba. Also that I need an escort incase my asthma flares up while I am down there someone will know my history and able to care for me. However this means I am off work for 3 months and I have no sick time left. So I have to figure out short term disability.
I am excitied to have my life back and be able to go out with out worring about scents and smokes and an attack.
I pray everything goes well with you.
I am hoping to have dates when I see my specialist in January, I phoned Ontario and they offer it and their wait time is 1-2 weeks as it isn't high priority procedure yet. I phoned my specialist and she is still writing all the letters so she is hoping she will have dates for me in January.
Scary happening so fast.

I got so irritated the other day it was the day before our thanksgiving haliday and went shoping and a person was smokilng by where we parked covered my mouth and hired to go in to the store but some person was smoking by the enterance and I had to hurry by them too and it made my lungs burn I had to take my inhaler right away got what I could then had to go home so my husbond had to do the rest of the shoping bless his heart.
I am still wanting on the doctors in seatle to let me know if and when I do have a sister that live about 2 hours away from Seattle where I will have it done so I will be able to stay with her.
Well again I will be praying for you let me know how it goes.

I am so flustrated. I am back on prednasone again! Oh when God closes a door their is another door to be opened. Please still keep me updated how it goes for you . WandaI am so sorry to hear that. It sucks when they get your hopes up about a procedure and then they won't do it. Hopefully they have another idea about how to help you.
I am looking forward to my appointment on the 3rd for more info on mine.

Sorry it has been taking me so long to reply I haven't been feeling great.
I have not gone yet, as I live in Canada it is slightly different. My referral went at the end of May to a Dr. Gerarld Cox in Ontario (I live in the province of Manitoba). They wanted approval from Manitoba Health that they will pay for it before they would see me. The referral went to Manitoba health in July I hadn't heard anything by september and neither had my specialist in Manitoba. By end of september she finally found out that the Hamilton site is closed as the dr is away on Medical.
Now my specialist is away till the end of this month, so we will see what happens, there are only 3 sights in Canada so the next one is in Quebec.
It is frustrating I have looked into the states but its around 50 000 and I would have no coverage.
I am still hoping I will go soon I am sick of landing in the emergency department every month.
I will keep you updated.
