I learned of a book called "Wonder". Sometimes I have problems, and I've heard others have problems, with insensitive remarks from others due to asthma attacks or in my case because I wear the mask. The book is about a boy with a disfigured face, and what he goes through going to school for the first time in fifth grade. It's not exactly the same, but it does deal with some of the same issues-people staring, people laughing at you, saying insensitive things to you, etc. Anyway, I just mention it in case it would help anyone.
