Asthma/Termite treatment

I have a 2 year old asthmatic son, we have recently discovered termites in our apartment, so of course, our landlord will have to take care of this problem. My question is, how will the treatment for the termites affect my son, I've done some research but mostly only found the effect of pesticides and I'm not sure if that is the same thing.

Hi Kaylajhawkins

I am sorry to hear about the termites, it probably depends on the chemical they use to kill it, I am guessing it will probably be harmful for his lungs. Is there a place you can stay while they are getting rid of the termites? It would most likely be better for him not to be exposed if possible.
I am not sure if this helps, you can always ask the company they hired what chemical it is and the risks of it.
