Nerve cutting

specialk118 posted:
I recall somewhere reading or maybe in school that the vagus nerve plays a role in your lungs is that correct? I'm just a little curious about htis since mine has been cut along the nerve at some point (where ever a neuorosurgeon would have cut it putting in a vp shunt), we do know for a fact that the nerve is cut adn that's the cause of my GP, so could the cut nerve be affecting my lungs as well?
