Hey everybody, I'll be 31 wks tomorrow. I just found out that my urine tested positive for group b strep.....the doctor said everything should be fine with antibiotics during labor but I'm scared about that.
And
I've been feeling something a little weird. It's usually when the baby moves or if I move certain ways, but it feels like a sharp pain on my cervix or something or like it's pushing down a little. I was leaning back in a chair and when I started to sit up I felt it. I don't know if it's just because he's getting bigger or what.
Any advice?

Wow that is funny I was coming to post the same thing mine are so sharp at times that they stop me in my tracks I ggogled it an it can be the baby pressing down or the start of your cervix changing to get ready for the baby.. either way I am a little alarmed today...it catches me off guard an happens when i'm sitting standing an laying down... It literally HURTS like he double hockey sticks...

Well I'm going to call the doc tomorrow and see what she says. I'll let you guys know what she says. It's just really weird and comes as a shock when it happens. I don't want to move because I don't know what it is and it really hurts. It seems to only hurt if he's moving or if I move and use my stomach muscles.

I just went through this yesterday. More than likely if you change movement and it feels better than everything is okay. Just stretching. Def. check w/your doc though!!!

OK, the doc just called me back. She said it sounds like the baby is just settling in. She said this pain can sometimes feel like it's on fire. I have a spot on my lower stomach that hurts pretty bad when he kicks it and she said sometimes they can bruise your insides so it hurts worse. All should be fine, but she said to go to L&D if it gets worse.
So pretty much it should be fine......BUT she also said there's never a bad reason to go get checked out......I'm still confused on what to do.
