Exciting OB Appt.

Well...........I had my OB appt today. I've been having TONS of pelvic pressure and contractions this past week. As soon as I got there they checked my BP, I normally ask what it is, but since it has been great in the past, I didn't. Next they hook me up to have the NST test and off we go. Right away, I noticed I was contracting. Madi Grace was fine, but the contractions kept coming. I had one after another. Not big painful ones, but they were VERY noticable. The nurse came in and noticed that I was having them on the machine, so she went and got the OB.
Today I didn't see my regular OB because he wasn't available, but I really like the one I did get to see today. He came in and ask could I feel the contractions and I'm like yeah, everyday along w/tons of ECP. He then said that my BP was elevated 140/98 (mine is usually 110/60) which could def. be because I am in pain. He stated that at this point I'm almost 35 wks so if I do go in labor they will not stop it. He didn't want to check me and just said, "Maybe you'll make it to next week". I looked at him and said only next week? He just said yes, at this point we will not stop you and your having some pretty consistent contractions. I'm realistic and know that, yes it could be next week, but it could be several weeks.
UGH......well, we know she's coming eventually...lol. I only gained a pound this last week. So, if I make it to Friday w/the Peri, then they'll do another weight estimate. Will be interesting to see. I feel like I will go early....just a feeling though.

Wow Nicki! What an exciting appointment. I'm glad to hear that Madi is doing well, but I hope that she hangs in there a little longer. Take it easy and try to relax. At least you know that if you do go early that they won't stop you. Best wishes and (((big hugs))).

I went in today and I am dialated to 1 cm so I am now on bed rest for the next week and taking tributiline every four hours to try and stop the contractions. Where I live they would not let me deliver in my local hospital, I would have to go 4 hours away to a neonatal place so they are trying to get me to make it to at least next week and are gonna try to make it two. So I guess both our 8/18 babies are gonna try to be 7/18 babies Good luck hon and keep us updated!!!!

Hey Tina.....what's up w/our little ladies...lol? I am kinda upset that the OB wouldn't check me. I don't understand it. I'm not on bedrest so what if I am contracting and dilating?? I've got a call in. Totally frustrated.

I have a call into my dr now to see if there is anything else I can do. These pills make me feel horrible ;( I think that my dr is being over cautious because of the threat of having to go 4 hours if I go into labor right now. As it is the hospital and her office is a 45 minute drive from where I live. Keep me updated on Maddison and I will let you know how Alesia is doing. Wouldnt shock me if these two girls grow uup to have lots of identical traits
