Hey, sorry it took so long to long to answer how Rylie is doing with Charlie. Things have been crazy this week! Charlie slept 2 hours and 15 minutes last night . . . which is the most consecutive sleep I've gotten since we brought her home Sunday! Oyy. Anyway, Rylie has been AMAZING! I thought it would take her a while to understand that Charlie was the baby we've been telling her about for months, but she caught on immediately and understands Charlie was the baby in my tummy. She loves saying no of course, and at the hospital when they met, we asked her if she wanted to take Charlie home to live with us, and she said "oh yes!" It was darling. This has been such an upheaval for her . . . and she has been a champ. As has DH. He takes her on errands, and she loves her Daddy-daughter time. The hardest part is Rylie wants me to carry her around and I can't for 4 weeks because of the c-section. She doesn't understand why mommy can hold Charlie but not her. It sucks horribly and I was a sobbing mess about it yesterday. She hasn't acted jealous AT ALL, which I was expecting, but we make her a huge part of everything. She throws the diapers away for me and helps pat her back for burping. Anything I can include her in, I do. Last night Rylie stayed at my parents because Rylie was losing sleep because of Charlie and she needed a night of pampering. It wound up being great for everyone!! Rylie had a fantastic night and caught up on sleep and we were able to concentrate on Charlie. She has done small things, like want to drink out of Charlie's bottle . . . but nothing major. Anyway, this turned long, but I think things will go great with your girls!!!
