Exhausted :) / Birth Story

Hi ladies. Well, reading the updates, sounds like there will be a lot more babies on this board soon!! Hopefully, not too soon. Things have been exhausting here. Charlie wants to be held all night . . . so I don't sleep. It has been pretty brutal. Last night she slept 2.5 hrs straight, which was heavenly. The 2 nights before we never slept . . . and with Rylie, it is hard to get caught up during the day. Charlie had an appt Wednesday. She weighed 6lb7oz. They were worried about her weight, so we went back today with a goal of 2 oz gained. She gained exactly 2 oz so she passed!! I also got my staples out today. Hopefully that will make things better. My stomach has been really sore, but it's all worth it of course!

Anyway, I'm so thrilled this will be turning into a parenting board!!

For my birth story . . . Last Friday I had an appt at 10:30. I had been having LOTS of contractions and pretty miserable. My dr checked me and I was 100% effaced and 6 cm dilated. She was engaged and my dr asked if I wanted to have a baby today (I was having a repeat c-section). I went home to get my bag and DH and take Rylie to my parents, shower, and headed back to hospital. They got me on the iv and were waiting for the operating room to open up. My contractions were 2 minutes apart, so she was coming! I was on the verge of needing an epidural, 9cm dilated when the room opened. This time was supposed to be easier with a planned c-section. No labor . . . Charlie had her own plan this entire time!! She was determined to give me the labor experience. Anyway, surgery went well. She was born at 4:25pm and was perfect. Charlie never had to go to NICU. I was incredibly sore, but sooo happy to have her on the outside!! They still judge her by gestational age since she was premature. That's new . . . but she's doing GREAT!! The girls birthdays are 3 weeks 1 day apart, so we will do a big party in the middle for both every year. As of now, I'm trying to get sleep and then we can gear up for Rylie's 2nd birthday, which is the 31st.

I hope you all are doing well and should be on more frequently. August is so close now . . . it will be so exciting have more of these little ones arriving.
