Nicki - 36 wks

Seen the OB for an NST on yesterday...NST was good and had the GBS swab. Wasn't that bad. The OB wants to induce me within the next two weeks (high blood sugars). The Peri has to give the "okay" and to set up the amnio before induction. I really don't know about having the amnio. If they want to induce me this week, then yes, BUT next week I think I will decline. We'll see what the Peri says on Friday.

My goals - Since I'm not having alot of contrax, I think I'm going to try and swim or take a stroll in the evening to get my BS down. I'm taking the kids to get them a gift for them, when the baby is born and hopefully will get an induction date by the end of the week.

Hugs to all!!!!

OB appt this morning - everything is great. Alexander is head down! Yay! Here's hoping he stays that way! No weight gain since last appointment, which OB wasn't pleased about, but I didn't do anything differently! Sigh. You can't win with these doctors!

DH and I set up the pack and play, bouncy seat, and high chair this week. Next in line are the car seats! Childbirth class is this Saturday! Just some minor things to take care of after this weekend, so hopefully we will be ready!!!

(((HUGS)))

I'm feeling okay this week. I have been exhausted and still swelling. I have another OB appointment tomorrow. They'll check again for protein to make sure that I don't have pre-e. I'm going to talk to her about some of my concerns about induction and see what she says. As of right now, I think that we are going to wait at least until 40 weeks to induce, as long as baby girl and I stay healthy.

My goals this week are to get the glider and some of the other things that we still need that we didn't get from our showers. We have the nursery half way done. We set up the swing, bouncer, pack n play, got the cradle, hung the valances, and assembled the crib. We just need to get the glider, dresser, and mattress pad. Then we need to finish decorating. Oh, and I want to get all of the bottles and pacis sanatized. I still have a lot of cleaning to do too...

Angie - 36 Weeks

Well tomorrow I have my BPP, NST, first cervix check, and the GSB swab. Sounds like a lot of fun....can't wait to see if anything is going on. I have stopped doing the elliptical as of this past Monday. My sciatica pain gets so bad, I am out for a day can;t walk, lay, sit nothing. Not worth it anymore so I will just walk. Like Nicki, my sugars are all over the board. Some low, some high, just can't get it. I was realeased from the Endo and the Peri since all has been great, but now I don't know what to think.

I sterilized and cleaned all the clothes, bedding, bottles, pacis, and everything else. I also packed my bag, so I feel somewhat ready in case things don't go great tomorrow. I am hoping to make it at least 2 more weeks, but the exhaustion has kicked in. We have had nasty hot and humid weather this whole summer, and I just think my body is starting to not like it. My DD also has a flu bug, so the goal for this week is to avoid getting sick!

I have to clean up the house, and organize the baby room a bit, but other than that just making it through each week. I also need to start walking more again since I am done at the gym.

Good luck girls and another week down! Getting so excited and nervous!

Take care and thanks to all of you for all the support and advice, it has meant the world to me so far!

Nicki - I'm so glad that the NST went well and that Madi is hanging in there. I hope that your docs can get on the same page!

Emily - Yay for the good appointment! I hope that you enjoy and learn a lot from your birthing class.

Angie - Good luck with everything tomorrow. I hope that everything goes well. Don't feel bad about slowing down the exercising. I can't ride the stationary bike any more because of the ECP, so I'm just walking too. I'm sorry to hear about your DD being sick. I hope she feels better soon and that you don't catch it.

I had my OB appt yesterday and all is good. I gained 4lbs in one week...wow. I guess I had to make up for the 2 I lost the week prior. They also did the group b strep test...no biggy. I've been feeling really exhausted lately. I feel like she is dropping because I have increase pressure in between my legs and down my thighs. And my legs get really tired. Hard to get up when I sit. But they are not swollen, thank God. I'm really excited that it's getting so close. Tomorrow I turn 36w, so that means 4wks or less to go. Tuesday I have an u/s to confirm she is head down and the approximate weight. I will also have them double check that she is still a she...lol. And next appt is next wednesday.

My goal this week is to pack my bag and have the car seat ready for when it's time. I've already pre-registered with the hospital, so I'm ready to go. Other than that, I'll be packing to move out of our home. I would like to be settled in the new place before she arrives, but ya never know.
