Dr appointment updates :)

I had my first post-partum Dr appointment on Tuesday and to be honest it could have gone better. My blood pressure is still high but the Dr isn't too concerned yet. I have to go see him again next Tuesday and if it's still high then he may consider putting me on medication to lower it. He did point out that it can take up to six weeks for my blood pressure to return to normal. On the plus side, I've lost just over 20 pounds already (YAY!) and he said my incision is looking fantastic. I really hadn't realized just how swollen I had gotten until I saw how thin my face became after giving birth and I could see my ankles again.

Jocelyn also had an appointment this week. Her two-week checkup was this morning and she is almost back to her birth weight! The Dr said she is looking great and even said she was okay to make the drive halfway across the country to make it to my husband's graduation from Basic Training! Thank you Lord! It makes me so happy to know that my husband will have a chance to meet his daughter in less than two weeks from now. We're going to make the drive in three days so there isn't too much strain because I'm traveling with a newborn, but I'm still a little nervous. I'm going to blame that on new mom jitters, lol.

Sorry this post was so long. If you made it this far then thanks for sharing in my joy! God bless all of you and your precious little ones!
