So I had my u/s today to make sure baby is head down and to get an average weight. Well I don't know the measurement details right now, I guess I'll know when I see my OB tomorrow. But baby is BREECH. Her head is def up in my rib cage. I had a strange feeling she was and now I know she is. I also wanted to double check that she is still a she, but because of her position, she was unable to tell. So...I am a little upset about baby being breech. I've heard baby still has time to turn, but what if she doesn't. I guess I will discuss with OB tomorrow. But now I'm getting scared that I may need a c-section, although at one point I wanted it just to avoid the labor pains.

Anyone else have a breech baby this late in pregnancy? Any advice?

Teresa, I'm so sorry Emma is breach!! My nephew was breech the week before my SIL went into labor, and he had flipped before labor started. Hopefully Emma will do the same for you. C-sections are not the end of the world, but it will make things harder with Joshua . . . You can"t lift anything heavier thanthe baby for 4 weeks. If I cheat and carry Rylie, I bleed alot worse, so I try to be good. Let us know what you ob says . . . and I hope everything goes the way you want it! Good luck to you and Emma.

Thanks Meggie. I'll see what my doc says tomorrow. But that is my biggest fear, not being able to lift my lil man and having to stay extra time in the hospital.

I hope your LO turns for you soon. Had I known my little girl was breech ahead of time I would have asked my doc about a version so he could try to turn her. But sadly we didn't find out she was breech till they broke my water. Trust me though having a c-section is not exactly easy. I wish i could say it was. Again I really hope your LO turns and you can have her normally instead of a c-section.

Hi -

I'm sorry about your little girl being breech. I would talk to your OB about a version and remedies at home to get your little girl to turn. One of the ladies on the PAIF had a breech baby and her doctor told her to be on her hands and knees as much as possible (I guess to give the baby the extra room to turn), and her LO was head down and has stayed that way since. Good luck and I hope she turns soon!!

Teresa, I am so sorry that she is breech. I guess you will get the scheduled C-section if that is the case. I have heard of people trying things to get them to turn. Hopefully it can still happen, but as you know they are running out of space to make huge moevements. See what your Doc says, and hopefully they can give you a good idea about what to do. My friend had one of those deals where they try and turned her son and the heart rate dropped and she ended in c-section. Hopefully the doc has some good advice.

Take care and let us know what they say!

Sorry ur little one is breech.. my Dr is telling me the same thing that there is still time for turning..Lew isn't breech but she is posterior which means she is facing my tummy an not my back which is the proper birthing postion... He has me getting on my hands an knees an rocking back an forth every night to see if this will help.. sometimes he says the contractions will also help turn the baby but in your case im not sure if that will work being she is heads up... try the execise it cant hurt... im with u on the c secition that was not in my birthing plan either... good luck bigs hugs/\

I'M IN THE SAME BOAT! I'm 36 wks 3 days and my next appt. is tomorrow, but last week he was still breech I really want to have a normal delivery without a c-section! I'm praying that he'll turn, but as long as he's healthy that's what's most important!!!!!

You are right Peaches. A healthy baby is what's most important. But I'll be praying that our LOs decide to turn before d-day.
