Update on U/S and D/A...

Well I didn't get very good news.
1. Baby's HR kept going up during u/s and it was also high today.
2. Baby is measuring large...at about 7lb 12oz. (Although I lost 2#s from last week and I'm up only 15#s)
3. Baby is breech, and doc didn't say anything about trying to turn her.
If baby continues to measure large at 38wks and is still breech, I will have a c-section.
Because of high FHB, I will now have NST twice a week and AFI once a week. If results are abnormal, I would most likely be having her sooner.
Oh, and I tested positive for strep B.
On top of all of this, we lost our home (and we just found earlier this month). So now we are in the process of moving to a rental. I just don't know how much more stress I can take right now.

Due date buddy........
Sorry to hear about the heartrate going up, did they say what might cause that? I wouldn't stress about the c-section... it's a little rougher to recover from but you will be fine! My SIL had one last week. I can totally relate with the Strep B as I tested positive as well. With antibiotics during birth we will be ok! But make sure you get the antibiotics or else you really risk passing it on to the baby. It's rare if your treated!!! Just breathe about the home... it will all work out! We were forced out of a home when I was 5 months because the owner quit paying the mortgage... so I found another house and paid a mover... turns out I am so much happier at this new place. Granted I didn't have to deal with it at 9 months... but it will all work out! Don't stress... just take it for what it's worth. Feel better!

I'm so sorry you had such a stressful appointment. I'm sorry about your little girl being breech and large, but I guess you never know what can happen in the next few weeks. (((HUGS))) And I"m sorry about the situation with your home. Try to take it one day at a time and deal with the events of that day, rather than looking too far into the future (I know, easier said than done). Many prayers that everything will work out!

Teresa, I am totally upset for you. I can't imagine the stress of what you've been going through, but I KNOW the stress you will be put under the next week w/all the testing. Hugs really doesn't cover it, but I am going to be praying for you!!!!!

Take every day as it comes and just deal w/what you can. Do you have family near by that can help out??? I know it's easier said than done, but right now, put your family and health first and the rest will work itself out.

I'm here if you need to talk.

Teresa,

I am so sorry for the rough week you are having. It is not right to be dealing with all of this at once and it is so understandable to feel lost and overwhelmed. Like others say, try to take things one at a time, lean on family and friends, and just focus on you and your little girl.

I do NST's 2 times a week, and the nice thing is that you get reassurance. I too am so far having a big baby, but they said that with my 1st and she was almost a pound less than the U/S. Just wrap up what you can at home, and get this baby out!

I am sorry about your home as well. I can't say anything to make you feel better, but know you are in my thoughts and prayers big time!

Take care and try to focus day by day.....

Thanks everyone. It means so much to have your support and someone to talk to.

Well Emma passed the NST. Her heart rate was normal. It would only go up when she was active. But the girl said it was completely normal. She also mentioned that u/s don't always give you a good indication because they only listen to it for a short time. Anyways, I will continue to do these 2x a week.

On the AFI, the levels were low. I'm not sure what the normal is, but apparently it was 5.46. The girl scared me because she said I may need to repeat it tomorrow and possibly have to deliver. She did mention that low levels could be due to many things, not drinking enough water, the position of the baby, or a slow leak. I know I'm not leaking, and I'm not sure if baby being breech has anything to do with it...but I'm trying to drink a lot of water and hopefully the number will be higher when I go next week. I called my OB about it and she wasn't concerned. She just wants to have it repeated next week.

So, I will take it one day at a time. We will see what next week brings. Thanks again ladies for all your support.
