So, I called my OB clinic today to see if I could squeeze a 39 week appointment out of them... and guess what... they don't have anymore appointments available from now until I deliver. So am I supposed to just go from my 38 week appointment to the delivery table???????? I am so frustrated! You've got to love Army Hospitals. I emailed the doctor that I like the most to see what her recommendation is... these people are going to mess around and I am going to make an appearance at Labor and Delivery the last two weeks since they can't provide me proper medical care for my last two weeks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On a good note.... I am finally 37 weeks!!! YEAH!

that is horrible!!! My dr had to leave on an emergency so I had to see another dr. The office rescheduled all patients based on their due date, So people with due dates that were under 3 weeks took precident over the other patients your dr office should do the same! I highly doubt that all the people being seen over the next three weeks are due during that time!!!!

I agree with pp... your doctor's office should fit you in according to your due date, and try to reschedule someone that has more time left! Ugh! How frustrating! I hope you, or your doctor's office, can figure something out... and soon!

Honestly I doubt they will try and do anything. When I asked the appointment lady what I should do and she replied...

Go to labor and delivery if your ready to have the baby
Go to sick call if your having problems

Hopefully the one doctor has something better to say.

I'm so sorry they are being this way and they seem like they can care less. I would just continue to call everyday and see if they have any openings.

Melinda,

That is not right! I would not be happy either if I were you. Talk about feeling like you are being blown off.

Hopefully all goes well, but don't be afraid to call them or run up to Labor and delivery for whatever since your Dr. does not want to take care of it...

Good luck and keep us posted on how things are going!

Well the doctor replied to my email... she wanted me to lay out what I have scheduled right now... which wasn't hard considering it's only 1 appt... and she is going to see what days she is in the clinic. She has been in labor and delivery lots lately but is going to see what she can do. So I am glad she is willing to try and it's always good to hear she's been in labor and delivery a lot... maybe she will be there when I go in!!! I am really not please with these other doctors/ midwives at all!!!
