almost 37 wks need advice!

Hey everybody. I just had my 36 wk appointment and my little guy is still breech! My doc scheduled a version for Friday (I'll be 37 wks then)
I'm soooo nervous because the medicine relaxes the uterus and speeds up your heart and it could cause my water to break or the placenta to seperate.....If it doesn't work they're going to schedule a c-section for the 20th. I really don't want a c-section, and this could prevent it or just cause an emergency c-section sooner....

Has anybody had this done? Did it work or is it just a waste of time?
Thanks so much

Ok, I watched some videos on youtube of the ECV and the patients have to lay flat and sometimes they tilt the head down.....I start to get nautious during regular ultrasounds if its done for too long so I'm worried laying flat with them pushing on my stomach will make me sick.

I'm sorry I don't have any good advice to offer, but I wanted to wish you good luck and I hope your little one turns and the version is uncomplicated! Keep us posted!

Sorry haven't had the procedure. Good idea to youtube it though. If I were you I'd hire a doula and try EVERYTHING beforehand but I realize you only have a couple of days. I definitely think that your doc has to be convinced that the benefits far outweigh the risks or he/she would not be doing it so I say if you wanna avoid a C sec go for it. Keep us updated, GL. Sorry I can't help more.

Sorry I can not help you, but I have not had that done. At this stage in the game, it does not hurt to try it, but just know going in that it could cause an early c-section.

Your doctor knows best, but like the others, do what you can first. Since you will be at the hospital, they can help you out right away.

Good luck and let us know if the procedure works and what it is like...

Take care

Well, we went in yesterday for the procedure. Got there at 630 in the morning and did an ultrasound, he was still breech. Got an iv, put on the monitors, and at 1230 they gave me the shot to relax my uterus and it made my heart RACE. Then they did an ultrasound to see exactly where he was and he was HEAD DOWN!!!!!!!! Can you believe that? So who knows where he'll end up lol.
