Asperger's Syndrome

I am 42 years old and finding out I might have Aspergers. Many symptoms that I read about I had or am currently encountering them. I seem to fall more into the Social Anxiety Disorder, but some of Aspergers symptoms does apply to me as well. Are there any other people in my age group that had found out they have or might have this syndrome in their 40's? what steps were taken next? testing? interviews? meds? anything of what might be next for me would be appreciated.
