My son is a compulsive chewer what do i do is it a sign of autism ?

he is eight years old has trouble focusing on anything is very senitive walks on his tip toes and will chew on anything and everything has been caught even chewing on a stick he dosent seem to grasp most things he is told or punished repetedly about

I would say from what I have heard that your 8 yr old definetely has sensory issues. I would suggest that you mention your concerns to your dr.
