Hey everyone! I'm new to the group. Figured this was a good shot at getting some help and advice.
About 8 years ago I was in a bad car accident. The top half of my body went one way, the bottom went another and jolted my neck/spine/hips in opposite directions. Doc says "trauma" can cause the pain I'm experiencing. Ok, I agree. So I went to a chiropractor as well as physical therapy....no help after a year. Went back to the doctor and he gave me pain medicine and told me that most likely I have osteoarthritis. Ok, now what? So a few years go by and I continue to see a chiropractor still with NO RELIEF whatsoever. I take my pills, do the recommended stretches, work out, heat, ice, rest, yoga, massage, etc and still by noon I'm absolutely exhausted. Then I became pregnant with my daughter and after I had her my back not only got worse but had obvious added strain (which most mothers have from holding their children etc.). I have stopped all activites (working out, teaching dance, sports, etc)
This is the feeling I have experienced for over 8 years - shoulder blade/middle back. I feel like I have a large 'spider web' like hold on my spine. VERY tight grip. As the web pulls to the right, my spine goes with it. It is hard and numb most of the time. My right arm tingles/hurts sometimes but I don't have fatigue (meaning I can squeeze and lift without losing function of my grip). IT HURTS so bad everyday, all day, no relief. Just recently my hips have started to become tight and I'm getting a sharp pain from neck to hip. Could it be a disk issue? I have no clue. Please help me. Hoping to get an MRI soon once insurance gets their $hi*# together.
