Hi Jaylien5 - for some reason I rec'd an error message on my post so am posting it again hoping it posts correctly!
Hi Jaylien5 - welcome to the support group -
first - STOP taking the Tylenol with the Vicoden - this may/will cause damage to liver/bladder. You need see your doctor as soon as possible. He/she may order some tests to see what's going on with your bladder. see link:
http://www.laserspineinstitute.com/back_problems/back_pain/lowerback_problems/second -what type of surgeons have you seen?
third - are you seeing a pain management specialist?
You may want to make sure that you get several opinions from both Orthopedic Spine Specialist and Neurosurgeon Spine Specialist. This way you will know exactly what you are up against.
If there is a big university hospital near you you may want to visit with their spine specialist. these usually are teaching universities and have more treatment options available.
Seeing a good Pain Management clinic may be beneficial too. I see a PHYSIATRIST Pain Clinic (see link)
http://www.spineuniverse.com/treatments/what-physiatristthey go deeper into pain management control than regular pain clinics by working with the patient and what the patients needs are.
When sleeping try using extra pictures. between the knees when sleeping on your sides. this will help keep your spine more straight. and under your knees when sleeping on your back.
I also take Gabapentin (generic for Neurontin) for the nerve damage in both my legs. this really helps with the numbness/tingling/burning etc sensations. Lyrica is also a good med to take. Both meds are to be started on a low dose and gradually increased until a therapeutic dose is reached.
Please let us know what you find out - sometimes we must go from one spine specialist to another, etc., in order to find out exactly what can be done.
