    Exciting News for WebMD Members!

We've been busy behind the scenes building new message boards for you. You'll have new and easier ways to find messages, connect with others, and share your stories.

And, this will all be available on your smartphone or other mobile device!

What Do You Need to Do?

The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? Save posts you want to continue (this includes your member profile story), so that you can re-post them in the new message boards.

Keep an eye here and on your email inbox, we'll be back in touch soon to give you all the information you need!

Since I'm the breadwinner of my family and I may have to go on disability, what do you think the future will hold for my family with the ACA?

I can keep my insurance through 2014.I know this is a politically charged topic and I don't want a politically charged arguement. We just went through enough of that BS. If anyone has any answers or good guesses I'd really appreciate your insight.

    Hi, Tim.

Check and see what your state offers. Your wife and daughters could be eligible for one of their plans. You would not be as you can switch to Medicare once your company plan is done.

Also, you daughters will be in college at that time and many colleges offer health care plans for their students. Then you would just have to find coverage for your wife.

My state sucks. They offer basically nothing which is why I continued working. It will be interesting to see how the new ACA laws impact us.

Similarly, environmental issues used to be managed by the state. Next year the Federal EPA is taking over.
