One Week Away
davedsel57 posted:
One week from today is Christmas day. We are pretty much ready, just need to buy some stocking-stuffers. How is everyone doing with the hustle and bustle of this season?

We have been fully decorated for over a week. Below is a picture of one corner of our living room with its new vent-free gas fireplace.

Hi Dave -

well we are not ready at all - we have been dealing with Tim's dad, his dementia (which has gotten worse) and trying to find some help with care giving (someone that will come to house).

So we still have a lot of shopping to do plus having relatives over Christmas Eve. I am thankful that we do chili and not a big dinner~~

Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Be safe and God Bless~~

Joy, I fully understand about a dad with dementia. I believe I have shared on this community that my father was diagnosed with Alzheimer's early last year and I had to move him to an assisted living facility. My mom died in 2000 and he was living alone in a very nice mobile home. We worked for a year and got his mobile home emptied out and sold and he gave me his car as he could no longer drive. He is in an excellent assisted living facility getting great care. I am the responsible party and have POA over his finances and I know how stressful this can be. He calls me 5 times in a day some days and his AD is slowly getting worse as expected. So hard to see a loved one going through this.

I pray you and everyone has a safe and happy Holiday season as well.
