Spine & Lower back pain

I have constant spine and lower back pain with all movements and walking which radiates down to my toes, also from my neck to fingers tips, causing weakness, tingling and numbness through my body. I`m hoping you can help me figure out what is going on and if there`s anything I can do to fix or help this problem. I do not understand the results of this Lumbar MRI. Could you please translate each comment for me thoroughly and in easy to understand language? Thanks!

Findings:
There is motion artifact.

From T11 to the cacrum was imaged. Vertebral height and alignment are maintained. A small hemangioma is identified within the L3 vertbral body, hyperintense in signal.

At L5/S1, there is disc desiccation with preservation of disc hight. There is a concentric disc bulge with posterior central annular fissure causing minimal thecal impression. No limiting central or foraminal stenosis is present.

The remaining intervertebral disc spaces are well-maintained. The conus terminates at T1 and is normal in signal and in caliber.

Impression:
1. Disc bulge with annular fissure at L5/S1.

hi and welcome to the support group -

here is a site that can help you understand your MRI readings:

http://www.chirogeek.com/003_CT-Axial_Tutorial.htm

basically at your L3 the small hemanogioma is what is referred to as a blood vessel tumor - I have one at T9. I was just informed a yearly MRI may need to be done just to check to see if it's growing etc. NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT!!!

At your L5-S1 you have a disc that is bulging out and pressing on nerve roots going down your legs.

Are you seeing a spine specialist to go over these findings? it's best to see either a Orthopedic Spine Specialist or Neurosurgeon Spine Specialist - they are the only ones that can accurately read MRI/CT Scans etc. examine you properly and give an accurate diagnosis. They can also refer you to see a good pain management specialist.

Please let us know what you find out~~
