Annular and posterior tear L5-S1
meangirl posted:
I need help understanding my discogram results. My pain doctor gave me a slip of paper stating the following:volume=0.6, pressure=mod., pattern=rt. annular tear, posterior tear, pain response=4+ positive. What does all this mean?

hi and welcome to the support group -

unfortunately we no longer have professional physicians on board - we are lay people suffering with chronic pains.

it would be helpful if you were to ask either the pain doc or his PA what the results mean - they will be happy to go over those with you.

I'm surprised they are doing discograms as its been proven that they can cause more damage to discs.

please let us know what you find out
