Sciatica Pain

I have suffered from severe pain in left lower back and leg. I can only walk a few steps.
Neurosurgeon wanted to put rods and all the rest from his toolbox in my back. Told me it may not help.
I have checked on NAS several times and it sounds good. Sometimes Laser Spine Center gets there stuff in to fool you.
I am waiting to hear back from NAS but think that is the only option I would try. Backs are touchy and do not have a good succes rate.
