Back Exercises

What have you found to be the best exercise for your back?

Hi and welcome to the support group -

everyone is different and reacts differently to all treatments. what one back exercise may work for one person may send another person screaming in pain.

I trust you are seeing either a physical therapist or a chiropractor whereas a spine specialist or pain management specialist has written a script of exercises for you. normally they start out low on core strengthening and will move up accordingly. from those exercises you need to determine what best suits you - where it does not cause more pains.

Most times steroid injections are done and written script is given as these two usually work hand-n-hand.

We would like to hear more from you. What part of your spine is affected? What have you had done as far as treatments and/or surgeries. How long ago was this? Work related or accident of some kind?

We have several members who have had a lot of experiences in spine issues and would be glad to offer advise. You can click on my name or picture and read my story.

The best exercises for back pain is p.t. in water. Water therapy is weightless and the fastest way I was able to limber up. My morning strectches probably save my sorry but more than I know. Those are done laying on floor by bed. I roll out of bed and stretch b4 going to bath rm or going for coffee. It takes a few minutes. Mendy 44

Please be careful when giving such advice. Everyone is different and really needs to consult their doctors before doing any type of exercises. No treatment or exercise works for everyone, and some may even cause more pain and/or damage.

I only post this because this is a public site read my thousands of people each day.
