My internet has been down for two days. They restrung my string and I got my emails updated. My friend is to be doing as expected after having a fusion from T12-S1. He's hurting, but he's starting to complain about smaller things so that's a good sign.

I know it will take him at least a week to feel like it's worth it and another month to start feeling human.

I'm optimistic that this will make his life better.. He sent me his MRI reports and I can see that his condition was causing much nerve compression. A good surgeon and some hardware should take the pressure off of the nerves exiting the lumbar segments and I believe he will be much better. He's had a rough year though and as we know, the body can only take so much . I pray this is his last challenge for a long time.

Tim sorry about your computer glad it's working now.

Thank you for the update on your friend - sounds like he is doing okay all things considered. I will join in with your prayers that he will heal from this and that it will be his last challenge for a very long time.

He's feeling good enough to start complaining about the hospital

He's off the IV anegesics and on to oral. So while that's a tough time it's a sign of progress.

Thanks all for the prayers.

Better today. He's mainly just walking a little more each day. Considering everything he's been thru I told him he's doing well for his first week post op. That first week is pure misery. I'm optimistic for him to say he's feeling better. If he can make it to two weeks I think it will be a good recovery for him.

Thanks for all the kind thoughts.

He's supposed to get released next Thursday. He's doing well and has a great attitude. We've been talking everyday

Again, thank you guys for all the kind thoughts. I think it's easier to be the person in the hospital bed than to be the friend or loved one standing by helpless.
