Eat this info with a grain of salt. Of course I am not a physician, but this is secondhand info from a physician. Several years ago, at that time NSAID's came in six categories. He showed me all of the categories and the long lists of non steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Perhaps, most of you know this already, but thought I would mention it just in case. What I was told, if you take an NSAID from one category, and it does not work, then none of the NSAID's from that category will work. You then need an NSAID from a different category. Just thought I would pass this tidbit on, in case it is correct. If true, could save you some time trying one that would prove ineffective and possibly some of your hard earned dollars. Discuss the possibility of this with your Dr. Best to All, AprilRose9

That's good to know. The book I recommended talks about the marketing schemes being the primary differences between NSAIDS. The cox-2 inhibitors were good until they got yanked. They were linked to cardiac problems, but I can't help laugh when I listen too the disclaimers on all the vanity drugs or contraception commercials.

Looks like Celebrex is a viable cox-2

My husband and I laugh too at the disclaimers. He loves to make fun of them. Like if a viagra commercial comes on he'll say stuff like "if you start bleeding from every orifice or you can't feel your hands or legs, stuff like that. Drives me crazy!!!! But he's sweet that way, so what can I say??? Have a nice day.
